Our Past Experience In KUMBH MELA
2013-Allahabad (Built 175 fully secured fabricated cottages with proper door locks)
Kumbh Mela organized in Allahabad in 2013 is of a different level and attracts millions of devotees to the shores. It was not a day of ‘Shahi Snans’ or ‘Royal bathing day’, when we were there on Saturday, the 2nd of February. However, the Sangam was full of people, taking holy dip or waiting for their turn.
2015-Nashik (Built 100 fully secured fabricated cottages with proper door locks)
The Kumbha Mela of Nashik is held every 12 years on the banks of River Godavari. Godavari is India’s second longest river originating near Nashik and traversing over 1400 km of the Deccan area before emptying into the Bay of Bengal in Andhra Pradesh. According to the Ramayana, the banks of the Godavari at Nashik are considered very sacred as Lord Rama had come to stay here. Triambakeshwar is at a distance of about 29 km from Nashik and the Shiva temple here enshrines one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of India.
2016-Ujjain (Built 90 fully secured fabricated cottages with proper door locks) After every three years one of these cities gets to hold the Kumbh, thus each one getting the chance to hold the next Kumbh after 12 years. The next Kumbh at Ujjain will take place in the year 2016, and the Kumbh at Ujjain is called as Simhast. The Kumbh mela at Ujjain is held at the banks of the river Shipra.
